Bulldozer maintenance

Pre-Start Inspection and Maintenance:

Check all high-pressure pipe joints, cylinders, floating oil seals, radiator plates, and water pipe connections for leaks. If any leakage is found, it should be repaired immediately.

Inspect the bolts on the air filter, muffler, roller bracket, track, and working device to ensure they are secure. If any are loose, tighten them promptly.

Verify that the electrical system is not disconnected or short-circuited, and check that all terminal connections are tight. Address any issues as soon as possible.

Engine Oil Sump Level Check:

When the engine is turned off, remove the dipstick and check the oil level. It should be between the “H” and “L” markings on the dipstick.

While the engine is idling, first confirm that the oil pressure gauge reads normally and that the coolant temperature is within the standard range. Then, pull out the dipstick again to check the oil level. It should be between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick.

If oil needs to be added, open the filler cap and pour in the recommended type of engine oil. Always park the vehicle on a flat surface when checking or adding oil. Do not fill beyond the “H” mark on the dipstick.

Rear Axle Tank Oil Level Check:

Initial 250-Hour Inspection and Maintenance:

Change both the coarse and fine oil filters.

Refill the working tank with new oil.

Replace the working tank filter element.

Change the final drive tank oil.

Clean the shifting and steering filter.

Tighten the injector mounting screws.

Inspect and adjust the engine valve clearance.

Every 500-Hour Inspection and Maintenance:

Replace the preservative reservoir.

Close the top two valves of the preservative reservoir.

Unscrew the filter cartridge counterclockwise.

Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing surface and install the new component.

When reinstalling, tighten the cover to the housing by 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Avoid over-tightening.
