1. Observe the Construction Staff
(I) Clothing
Clothing: Workers should wear designated workwear with secure buttons to ensure a snug fit. The attire should be lightweight and not loose or overly casual, as this could pose safety risks.
Shoes: Flip-flops or barefoot work is strictly prohibited. When working at heights, soft-soled shoes are required to provide better grip and stability.
(B) Physical and Mental Condition
The physical condition of workers at high altitudes must meet strict safety standards. Individuals with conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, anemia, epilepsy, or other health issues that could impair their ability to work safely are not allowed to perform tasks at height. Additionally, anyone who is excessively tired, lacks energy, or shows signs of low morale should avoid working at elevated locations until they are fully recovered.
2. Observe Safety Equipment
(A) Hard Hat
â— The helmet, inner lining, and chin strap should all be intact and functional.
â— The helmet must be worn properly, with the chin strap securely fastened under the jaw.
â— If necessary, verify the validity and certification of the helmet.
â— Do not use the helmet for purposes other than its intended use.
(B) Safety Belt
Safety belts must be worn in the following situations:
1) When working at heights, a seat belt must be worn upon entering the worksite;
2) When working above 2 meters;
3) When working on sloped roofs;
4) On flat-roof buildings where there are no guardrails within 1.2 meters of the roof edge or openings;
5) On any suspended platform or scaffolding;
6) On incomplete guardrails or scaffolding;
7) Near ladders close to roof or floor openings;
8) When no reliable fall protection measures are in place.
Correct Use of Seat Belts:
1) Ensure the belt is tightened and the buckle is securely fastened;
2) When using a seat belt for suspension, do not hook the carabiner directly onto the belt—attach it to the designated ring;
3) Never hang the seat belt on unstable or sharp-edged objects;
4) Do not replace parts of the safety belt without authorization;
5) A seat belt that has been severely impacted should not be used, even if it appears undamaged;
6) Do not use the safety belt to transport heavy items;
7) Hang the seat belt on a strong and stable point, at least waist-high.
3. Observe the Construction Process
Mainly check whether the construction staff is engaging in any "three violations" during the work process—violations of regulations, procedures, or safety protocols.
4. Check Construction Materials
Ensure that construction materials are not randomly stacked;
Confirm that construction waste is cleared promptly;
Check that no hazardous materials are placed below the working area at height.
5. Safe Use of Ladders
6. Safe Use of Scaffolding Facilities
7. Correct Use of Operating Platforms
