(1) Minor Scratches – If the furniture is scratched but the paint hasn't been damaged, you can use a soft cloth to apply melted wax over the scratch. Once the wax hardens, add another layer. Repeat this process a few times until the scratch becomes less visible.
(2) Burn Marks – If the paint film is burned by a cigarette or match, and the wood beneath is still intact, use a fine-grained cloth and a chopstick head to gently rub the burn mark. Then apply a thin layer of wax to help remove the scorch.
(3) Heat Marks – If hot water leaves a white circle on wooden furniture, wiping it promptly usually removes the mark. However, for deeper stains, you can try applying a small amount of iodine or petroleum jelly. After two days, wipe with a soft cloth to lift the mark. Alternatively, using a cloth dipped in alcohol, perfume, or kerosene can also help. After removing the mark, clean the area with water and apply a light coat of wax to protect the surface.
