BYD's bidirectional inverter technology represents a significant advancement over existing external charging solutions. It combines the advantages of both DC fast charging and convenient AC charging, integrating them directly into the motor controller for high-power AC charging. This means that the entire charging system can be embedded within the vehicle itself, eliminating the need for dedicated charging stations. As a result, the process of building a charging station becomes unnecessary, and electric vehicles can be charged quickly using local AC power. This not only reduces infrastructure costs but also makes charging more accessible and user-friendly.
The goal of this technology is to allow electric vehicles to charge without relying on professional charging stations, significantly lowering the investment required for charging infrastructure.
