Several tips for the construction of water-based paint spraying

[China Aluminum Network] 01 Use clean water to adjust the coating to a suitable spray viscosity. Measure with a viscometer. The appropriate viscosity is generally 20-30 seconds. If there is no viscometer, you can use the visual inspection method: stir the paint with a rod (iron rod or wood rod) and stir it up to a height of 20 cm to stop it. If the paint is not in a short time (several seconds) Too thick; such as a break from the bucket on the edge of the line is too thin, to stop at just 20 cm high, the paint into a straight line, the moment that the flow becomes a drop, this viscosity is more appropriate.

02 The air pressure is better controlled at 0.3-0.4 MPa (3-4 kgf/cm2). If the pressure is too low, the paint solution will be poorly atomized and the surface will form pits. Excessive pressure and easy to hang, and paint fog is too large, both the waste of material and affect the operator's health.

03 The order of spraying is: It is difficult to be easy after the first time, first outside and then outside. After the first height and then the low, the first small area after a large area. This will not cause the post-spray paint mist to splash on the sprayed paint film, destroying the sprayed paint film.

04 The distance between the nozzle and the object surface is generally 300-400mm. It is advisable to hang it near the surface. The paint fog is too uneven and prone to pitting. The nozzle is far away from the object surface. The specific size of the distance should be appropriately adjusted according to the type, viscosity, and pressure of the paint. Slow dry paint can be sprayed a little further away, quick dry paint spray, a little closer. When the viscosity is thick, it can be nearer, and when the viscosity is thin, it can be farther; when the air pressure is large, the distance can be farther, and the pressure can be a little closer. The so-called farther point refers to a small-scale adjustment between 10 mm and 50 mm. If it exceeds this range, it is difficult to obtain a desired film.

05 The spray gun can be moved up and down, left and right, preferably at a speed of 10 to 12 meters per minute. The nozzles should be sprayed straight on the surface to minimize oblique spraying. When spraying at both ends of the object, the hand that deducts the trigger of the spray gun should be quickly loosened, so that the paint mist is reduced. Because the two ends of the object surface are often subjected to more than two spraying, it is more likely to cause sagging.

06 Spray the next 1/3 or 1/4 of the next channel so that no leakage occurs. When spraying quick-drying paints, it is necessary to spray them in sequence one after another.

07 When spraying in outdoor open areas, pay attention to the wind direction (not suitable for high winds). The operator must stand in the downwind direction to prevent paint mist from being blown onto the sprayed paint film to cause unsightly granular surfaces.

Waterborne epoxy coatings are coatings that use water as a solvent or dispersion medium. Waterborne epoxy coatings include water-soluble epoxy coatings and water emulsified coatings. Water-soluble coatings are often also called electrophoretic coatings, that is, the resin is dissolved in water to form a uniform colloidal solution. If the resin ions are charged, the colloidal particles can be deposited on the surface of the workpiece by electrophoresis under the action of direct current.
