Six precautions for granite stone hollowing

Granite is a kind of natural stone. It is widely used in the decoration of the floor and wall of the building because of its hard texture, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, various colors and beautiful appearance. The granite floor is mostly used for granite floor. In the indoor and outdoor floors of public buildings and the floor works of the public parts of residential buildings, due to their radiation, they are generally not used in the interior decoration of residential buildings. The improper operation of the granite during the laying process may directly lead to the emptying of the granite. The empty drum not only affects the function of the floor, but also causes the ground to be drum, the surface layer to fall off and the broken. Rework can meet the requirements of use, but rework and repair will have certain adverse effects on the construction unit and the construction unit. It should be strictly controlled during construction, and the quality should be strictly controlled to avoid rework and repair. According to industry analysts, the common precautions for granite hollow drums are as follows:

1) The sand should be selected from medium coarse sand, and it should be used in the project after witnessing the sampling and inspection. Drinking water should be used as the mixing water for mixing mortar and plain cement slurry. For the inability to determine the nature of the water should be sent to the laboratory for testing, qualified before use in the project.

2) Construction shall be carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the construction process standards. The base layer shall be cleaned and sprinkled with water. After passing the self-inspection, the supervision engineer shall apply for the concealed acceptance and then apply the plain cement slurry, laying 1:3 dry mortar, etc. Layer concealed layer acceptance to ensure no loopholes.

3) When applying granite, use a rubber hammer to gently tap the wooden backing plate placed on the granite. The number of hammers should be based on the consistency of the 1:3 dry hard cement mortar, the thickness of the granite, and the weight of the hammer. It is determined by field test that it is generally better to exceed the shoulder for the height of the hammer lift, and it is determined that the number of hammers is mainly for the 1:3 dry hard mortar cushion after the granite is turned up, for the 1:3 dry hard mortar. The plain cement-slurry layer between the cushion layer and the granite stone surface layer is generally directly applied to the surface of the granite stone, so that it is easy to handle and evenly spread, which is beneficial to the 1:3 dry hard mortar cushion. Bonding with the granite stone finish. According to our on-site test, a piece of granite with a size of 600mm × 600mm × 30mm (thickness) is hammered with a large rubber hammer for 30 to 36 times to ensure a firm bond and a dense mat.

4) The maintenance of granite floor should be carried out within 1d to 2d after the granite paving is completed, depending on the temperature of the construction environment. The seaming and filling should be strictly controlled to prevent leakage. , leakage irrigation, sprinkling maintenance time is not less than 7d.

5) From the granite paving, the area is closed and the passages such as doors and windows are temporarily closed. The granite floor can be removed and closed after it meets the requirements of the people. If the room size is large, the construction can be closed in sections to ensure that the construction quality during the granite paving process is not affected by the morning people.

6) Set the granite ground expansion joint according to the position required by the design, and arrange the expansion joints for the ground floor to ensure that the granite floor does not cause drums and other drums due to temperature changes. The outdoor ground is generally provided with expansion joints in the range of 4m to 6m due to the influence of large temperature difference between morning and evening. The setting of indoor expansion joints should be determined according to design requirements. A flexible weather-resistant sealant or other material should be used for caulking in the expansion joint.

Through the above six points, the situation of the stone hollow drum can be reduced and the service life of the granite can be improved. However, daily stone maintenance is still essential, and maintenance can maintain the beautiful appearance of the stone.
