Distinguishing and distinguishing between jade and sheep fat jade

Among the many members of the jade family, the most expensive one is to push the jade. It is a natural ore with extremely high hardness and very low yield. Its color is mainly green and red. The red is green and the green is green, hence the name jade.

(1) Classification of jadeite

Special grade: bright green (emerald green), apple green, glass ground (translucent, fine texture), even and bright, no impurities, no cracks.

Commodity grade: green, oil green, micro-transparent, intertwined translucent grandmother green veins and spotted green.

Ordinary grade: è—• powder ground, bean green, light green, white delicate, slightly transparent. Opaque jade, generally only used as jade jewelry.

(2) Quality identification of jadeite

texture. The natural jade texture is transparent or translucent, and the surface is oily and lustrous. Careful observation reveals a slightly rounded, slightly transparent "salt grain" and fibrous material surrounding it.

hardness. Natural jadeite is jadeite, the Mohs hardness is 7 degrees, and it is scored with sharp tools, leaving no traces; the fake jade has low hardness, and the sharp knife can draw traces.

Cui sex. The natural jade looks at the strong light, and it can be seen that there are other green mineral glitters, which are called green flowers or green. The fakes made of glass, plastic and porcelain have no such "green" characteristics.

Relative density (specific gravity). The natural jade structure is hard and compact, has no bubbles, and has a high density. The sound is crisp when struck; the fake product has a loose structure or bubbles, and the density is small, and the squeaking sound is not crisp.

Color. The authentic green color is pure and pure. Some fakes are made of white jade, serpentine, Australian jade, Korean jade, marble and even miscellaneous stones. After decolorization, they are filled with high-hard plastic pulp and added for color treatment, or immersed in green liquid to make "additional jadeite". "Under the strong light, the green lines are visible, messy and small; some are not grainy, but the turbidity is unclear, the gloss is poor, and the weight is lighter than the original."

The above-mentioned fake product is placed in the boiled wax liquid, and the poured pigment is gradually precipitated. This test will not damage the sample being tested, but also identify the true and false.

Observed by the Selsey filter, the color Cui is purple in the mirror, and the natural color does not change.

Some fake jadeites are artificially smelted with glass, the structure is slack, the green is evenly dark, some have bubbles, and they are hit with a hard device, and the sound is hoarse.

(3) The purchase of jade

Look at the color. See if the color is pure, rich, even, and use a spotlight to check for hidden variegated colors. It is better for the color to be rich, pure, uniform, and the impurities are small. Emerald green has a higher price, followed by red and purple. In the green, the seedling green with fresh and slightly yellowish color is the best, followed by the gem green, the river green, and the oil green, all of which are evenly distributed in green.

Observe transparency. Observed under strong light, the higher the transparency, the better.

Listen to the sound. It is better to have a crisp and sweet sound.

Observe the green and stone flowers. In the observation of light, there are other mineral particles in the jade (ie, green), and often have a mass of white flowers, called stone flowers. Both are less good.

Look for cracks and dark spots. Some of the cracks are present in the ore, and some are caused by processing, and less is good; the black spots are black spots everywhere in the jade, and it is also small and small.

Look at the processing level. The surface is smooth, polished and in good shape.

Jade is divided into two types, one is nephrite and the other is jadeite. Emerald is a jadeite. Glass of jade is more expensive. The glass in the jade is the highest in clarity and transparency, followed by ice.

Sheep fat white jade is a nephrite, which is a more expensive type in nephrite.

The price of sheep fat jade is much higher than the average colorless glass type jade.

The so-called "goat fat jade" is the best in nephrite! It is the most expensive variety of nephrite. The color of general nephrite can reach the fat of white sheep, which is very rare, so it is very expensive!

The evaluation of jadeite is not as simple as nephrite. It is necessary to fully consider the color, engraving, head and foundation. In general, the jadeite of the glass species is rarely colored, but with a little bit of green, the price increases exponentially, and it can be collected by ordinary people! If it is evaluated by a single white nephrite and jadeite, it is natural Nephrite is more expensive (soft jade is more white and more expensive, jade is whiter and cheaper), even if the jade of glass is not expensive, but if the jade of glass is a little color, the price is not comparable to nephrite.
