On the afternoon of December 4th, a research group led by Wang Qinsheng, head of the Zhengzhou Superhard Materials Industry Cluster Planning Team, visited the city's new materials industrial park to inspect its planning and construction progress. Accompanying them were local officials Wang Xinting and Wang Xin. The New Materials Industrial Park is set to focus on the development of advanced materials, including super-hard materials, abrasive materials, and high-performance ceramics. It aims to support the growth of related industries such as super-hard material processing and auxiliary material manufacturing. To date, the park has signed 44 projects with a total contract value of 22.2 billion yuan and fixed asset investment reaching 5 billion yuan. In 2014, the park plans to establish a super-hard materials production zone with over 10 billion yuan in investment and an output value exceeding 23 billion yuan. By 2016, it aims to become a major new materials industrial park with over 35 billion yuan in investment and more than 100 billion yuan in annual output. The goal is to create the largest new materials industrial park in China, centered around super-hard materials, with complete supporting facilities and unique industrial characteristics. After listening to a detailed report on the park’s development plan, the research team, city leaders, and department heads held a discussion on future strategies for the park, offering valuable insights and recommendations for its continued growth. Wang Xinting, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and vice mayor, emphasized that the new materials industrial park has brought significant opportunities for Fuyang since last year. He expressed confidence in the future of the superhard materials industry, noting that the market holds great potential. However, he also urged caution in setting ambitious goals. The Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee highlighted the need for the government to gradually allow the market to play a decisive role in resource allocation. This shift means that future investment will be more standardized and transparent. As a government body, it is essential to gather all available resources and production factors, carefully assess them, and align them with clear targets. In practical implementation, the city must take a global perspective and develop the patent navigation area. In operations, intellectual property protection, technological innovation, and scientific research should be at the core. The aim is to build the Fuyang New Materials Industrial Park into the largest super-hard materials production base in China, featuring comprehensive infrastructure and distinct industrial characteristics. It should also become a modern industrial hub symbolizing the cultural heritage of the Central Plains region. Wang Xinting added that the city will actively incorporate expert opinions, further refine its strategies, and implement them effectively. He hopes that all experts will continue to guide the new materials industrial park toward becoming a globally recognized "Diamond City" and "China Super Hard" industrial valley.
