Future Wine Technology: Wine Bottle Storage and Protection Devices

"Wine Technology of the Future" is a program that focuses on researching new wine inventions. It aims to make wine storage more convenient and fun. We already have a lot of related technologies, and now we introduce a "wine storage and protection device." The inventor Gregory H. Lambrecht stated that it can remove the wine without opening the bottle stopper and that the unfinished wine will not oxidize because the stopper is not damaged.

Motivation for invention
The first is to prevent oxidation or deterioration of untreated wine. There is a lot of air entering the bottle when opening the bottle stopper. Although we can plug the bottle back, the air in the bottle will still oxidize the wine until it gets worse. Although there are many devices that can remove the air inside the bottle, it only extends the shelf life of the wine for several days. If the effect of this invention is really that of the inventor, then the possibility of oxidation of wine will be greatly reduced.

This invention will bring good news to many consumers. For consumers who drink less alcohol, it will not waste a half bottle of wine. Wine lovers who drink regularly at the same time will also benefit from it. They can use different dishes to match the same bottle of wine at different times. Sometimes people will want to try out the depths of the wines in the wine cellar, and they dare not risk opening them. This invention will come in handy.

working principle

As we can see in Figure 1, the device is very complex but it can be installed lightly on the bottleneck. It consists of three main parts: a syringe, a valve, and an air supply.

First, the syringe penetrates the cork into the bottle. Then tilt the bottle and the liquid will come in contact with the bottom of the barrel. At this point, open the valve that communicates with the tank, and air will enter the bottle.

When enough air enters the bottle, the valve jumps to the "off" position so that there is no excess air entering. At this point, there will be pressure in the bottle, the wine will be pressed into the other end of the container (for example, a glass).

After the wine is taken, the bottle will stand upright and the liquor will separate from the syringe. The excess air in the bottle will also be discharged along the barrel. The pressure in the bottle is restored to its original level.

After unplugging the syringe, the cork will rebound to its original level. The inventor also made a variety of alternatives for various components and detailed the advantages of each alternative.

Because this device is easy to operate and has automatic control valves, I think this will be a very useful tool. Of course, it also has many areas that need improvement, such as sealing the device up to prevent damage; adding protective settings to the sharp syringe to prevent scratching the user.

Pressure Reducing Valves

Pressure reducing valves has two types, direct operated type and pilot operated type.

Models DR are pilot operated reducing valves. They reduce pressure in a branch circuit lower than that of the main circuit. The valve design is capable of maintaining a precise pressure setting even at high flow.

Models ZDR are 3-way direct operated pressure reducing-relieving valves. They maintain a [reduced" pressure in a branch circuit and permit [relieving" pressure spike occurrences in the reduced branch circuit. Options for pressure ranges and operator adjustment options are within the scope of the modular Reducing Valve portfolio.
