The rice long-acting slow-release (control) fertilizer is a newly developed product of the Soil and Fertilizer Research Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It combines the specificity of rice for fertilizer and the long-acting slow-release technology of nutrients to effectively solve rice cultivation. The problems of frequent fertilization and heavy work have made it possible for rice to meet the nutritional needs of the whole growth period only by "disposable" fertilization, and achieve the purpose of simplicity, high efficiency, increased yield and no pollution. In 2002, Meizhou City began to introduce rice long-acting slow-release fertilizers for demonstration and demonstration, and the effect of increasing income and expenditure was obvious. The technology is introduced as follows:


First, the use of results:

The application demonstration results in Meizhou City show that the application of rice long-acting slow-release (control) fertilizer not only increases yield and stable yield, but also saves fertilizer and production costs and improves rice production efficiency. Compared with the current conventional fractional fertilization, the application of rice long-acting slow-release fertilizer has an average yield of 21.76 kg/mu, an increase of 0.85-13.16%, an increase of 36.29 yuan/mu, and an increase of 5.88% economic benefit. Rice slow-release fertilizer is used to meet the nutritional needs of rice one-time application, simplifying rice fertilization technology and achieving the effects of “saving labor, simplicity, high efficiency, increasing production, low cost and low pollution”.


1. Increasing production effect: In the community experiment in 2002-2003, the per-mu slow (control) fertilizer-removing treatment area increased yield by 4.99% compared with conventional fertilization treatment; in the 2003 field demonstration, rice was treated with slow (control) fertilizer release treatment. The output per mu is 482.08 kg, which is 2.6% higher than conventional fertilization. From the test situation in 2002-2003, after the application of slow (controlled) fertilizer release, the rice increased by 4.1-55% kg per mu, and the yield increased by 0.85-13.16%. This indicates that compared with conventional fertilization, the yield of rice applied slow-release fertilizer is slightly increased, but the yield increase is determined by the fertility status of the field. 2. Analysis of agronomic traits. From the test situation in 2002-2003, after the application of slow (controlled) fertilizer release, the maximum number of seedlings per acre decreased by 14,700, a decrease of 4.04%. The results of the harvest survey also showed that the rice application was slow (control). After the release of fertilizer, the effective number of panicles increased by 0.58 million per mu, an increase of 3.00%, and the rate of ear formation increased by 3.9%, an increase of 7.33%. This indicates that after the application of slow (control) release fertilizer in rice, the number of spikes increased, and the number of effective spikes increased, so the rate of spike formation was greatly improved. At the same time, the number of grains per panicle and 1000-grain weight also increased. The number of grains per panicle increased by 1.34, with an increase of 1.14%, and the weight of 1000-grain increased by 0.20 g, an increase of 0.86%. This indicates that after the application of slow (controlled) release fertilizer in rice, a certain proportion of NPK can be released in the middle stage, which is beneficial to increase the number of solid grains and increase the seed setting rate, and at the same time increase the grain plumpness and increase the 1000-grain weight.


3. Analysis of fertilization benefit: From the test situation in 2002-2003, after the application of slow (controlled) fertilizer release, the fertilization cost of rice is slightly lower than that of conventional fertilization, and the income per mu can be increased by 36.29 yuan, and the economic benefit of fertilization is improved. 5.88%.

3. Experimental demonstrations show that rice long-acting slow-release fertilizer is suitable for different soil types and rice varieties. It is best to apply fertilizer once in rice loam and clay soil, but it is sandy in rice. The soil should be applied twice, that is, the base fertilizer and half of the rice in the tillering stage to improve the fertilizer effect.
