Yantai implements "electronic patrol" system

After the trial operation for nearly half a year in the pilot unit, the Yantai Highway Bureau began to implement the “Electronic Patrol” system in the Yantai Highway Maintenance Road Inspection.

The "Electronic Patrol" system mainly includes patrol points, personnel cards, patrol sticks, and management software. Its working principle is the application of RFID technology (radio frequency identification technology) to the major bridges, key road sections, and highway junctions under its jurisdiction. Set patrol points with low-frequency electronic tags (each patrol point is set with a number and a station number by computer management software before setting it). Inspectors first use the patrol bar to read the personnel card and start inspections. The patrol point is used to read the patrol point during the process. The inspection time and patrol point number are recorded in the patrol stick. After the inspection, the inspectors upload the patrol records in the patrol bar to the computer through the USB data transmission line. The management software in the computer compares the pre-set inspection plan of the inspector with the actual inspection record and can be inspected. In the report, by viewing the inspection report, you can clearly understand the number of inspections and frequency of maintenance, when the road officer passed a patrol point, and the whole day or a certain period of time.

The "Electronic Patrol" system is easy to operate and can effectively manage road inspections. It is suitable for routine inspections of road maintenance and maintenance. The application of this system has a positive effect in strengthening Yantai highway inspections, optimizing the allocation of human resources, and improving the control of road conditions.
