On the morning of July 1, the People’s Government of Zhangjiajie City organized municipal public security, firefighting, traffic police, medical and security inspections and other departments to conduct joint drills at the 10,000-ton oil depot Golden Tower gas station.

The 9:50 start ceremony was officially started. First of all, five fire fighters demonstrated to the people on the scene fire-fighting equipment such as toothless saws, hydraulic clamps, air respirator and fire extinguishers.

At 10:05, the fire extinguishing drill officially began. The drill assumes that 10,000 tons of oil depots at the Gold Tower gas station have caused fuel dispenser leaks because employees violated the operating procedures. Leaking oil flowed along the sewage ditches into the road outside the gas station and came into contact with the fire source to start burning. After the gas station personnel discovered the fire, they raised the alarm, put out the fire, and requested support from the fire department.

After the fire department covered all personnel and evacuated safely and launched a general attack on the fire, the fire was eventually extinguished.

After the drills were completed, all the combatants quickly assembled. Finally, the deputy mayor Liu Hua commented on the drill: “The drill was very successful. Despite the heavy rain due to the weather, all the people were able to persevere and made a tremendous contribution to this drill.”
