In order to meet the needs of national nuclear power development and adapt to the overall deployment of the Shanghai Electric Group's industrial key shift to the Lingang base, Shanghai I Machine Tool plans to build a new nuclear power industry base in the Lingang New City Heavy Equipment Industrial Zone by increasing capital and capacity to maintain the Shanghai No. 1 machine tool. The unique advantages in the nuclear reactor internal components and control rod drive mechanism have become the first and international first-class nuclear power equipment production base in China. The total investment of the project is 365 million yuan, and the newly acquired land is 200 mu. It is expected that by the end of 2007, the production capacity of the internal components of the reactors of the pressurized water reactor type and the control rods and other pile types will be formed.
According to the national nuclear power development plan, China will need 4 sets of internal components and control rod drive mechanism each year. The Shanghai No. 1 machine tool is currently the only company in China that has the manufacturing performance of the internal components of the nuclear power reactor reactor and the control rod drive mechanism. After the project is completed, it will more effectively meet the needs of national nuclear power development.
