Polyurea Waterproof Spraying Standard Pays Attention to Environmental Protection Requirements

January 1, 2010, the national standard "spray polyurea waterproof coating" (standard number is GB / T23446-2009) started.

Spray polyurea waterproof coating is a new waterproof, protective material. The "Spray Polyurea Waterproof Coating" standard stipulates the terms and definitions, classification, marking, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of spray polyurea waterproof coatings ( JN for short). This standard applies to construction projects, infrastructure spray polyurea waterproof coating.

It is understood that the national standard "spray polyurea waterproof coating" by the Suzhou Non-metallic Minerals Industry Design and Research Institute, Building Materials Industry Technology Supervision Research Center, Suzhou Second Construction Group Co., Ltd. organized the relevant polyurea waterproof enterprises jointly developed.

At the 2010 International Polyurethane Summit - Forum on Hard Foam, the Suzhou Non-metallic Minerals Industry Design and Research Institute will provide detailed introduction and explanation of the specific development of the standard and the content of the preparation.

It is understood that the standard has formulated 22 indicators, some of which are close to Germany's BASF polyurea elastomers. The environmental protection and personal safety problems caused by the construction and use of waterproof coatings have attracted more and more attention from the society and the public.

Relevant personnel said that the most fundamental solution should start from the raw materials produced. Although polyurea is sprayed without adding a solvent, a certain amount of auxiliaries are also added. Therefore, in the formulation of standards, the principles and requirements for the environmental and safety requirements for spraying polyurea waterproof coatings are proposed. At the same time, a reactive waterproof coating type A requirement was proposed to determine the VOC content of the sprayed polyurea waterproof coating.
